Depending on where you live, there are certain times of the year in which it is very enjoyable to be outside or have fresh air into your home, and at other times there are issues that can make it uncomfortable to be outside.
In the state of Florida, from fall until the early spring months, the weather is so comfortable that many people turn off their air conditioning system and have their windows and doors open.
Some homeowners will like an area outside their home to be screened off to protect them from outside elements, but not everyone wants to go for a full porch screen enclosure. Lacoochee residents might not be aware that there are ways to incorporate smaller screen structures into the home, so that you can enjoy being outside or enjoy the outside weather of your home.
What is a Screened Entryway?
One of the more popular ways to incorporate screened areas to the outside places of a home is to have a screened entryway. Unlike a screen enclosure, Lacoochee residents should know that screened entryways are usually meant to hold a large amount of people, or cover a large area.
Screened entryways can be placed in different areas of the home, but they are most commonly seen at the front door of a home. Although these screened entryways are smaller than a porch patio, typically there is enough room that someone can put some furniture outside their door if they want a place to hang out outside when the weather is well.
While these areas can be used for leisure and recreation, they are more commonly there in place to create a safe area to let in air, or to create a safe area to keep people out of the elements, such as when it is raining and someone is bringing in groceries.
Are Screened Entryways the Same as Front Porch Screens?
Many people enjoy having a large front porch with a screen around it for the same reason that someone would want a screen on their back porch. Because of this, many people often ask if a screened entryway is the same thing as a front porch screen enclosure? Lacoochee residents should know, although these structures may look similar and function the same, they are slightly different.
A screened enclosure typically only contains the front door and a small area in front of that door, while a front porch screen structure is going to cover a larger area.
While some homeowners would love the idea of having an entire front porch covered with a screen structure, some people will see this as not necessary. If you are someone who wants a screened area of the front of your home but do not need a whole porch covered, consider getting a screened entryway.
